It's my go to spot. Everything on the menu is amazing. Ask about the secret menu if you get daring. Coconut crunch is my favorite roll.

Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Best of State for a reason! I had the pleasure of trying out Tona for the first time after sampling their delicious flavors at the Best of State party in 2023. It did not disappoint. Our wait was a bit longer than expected since they do not take reservations on Friday and Saturdays, but overall it wasn't too bad. Once we sat down, the service was quick and seamless. We were a group of 6 and ordered 2 appetizers and 7 rolls to share. Everything tasted so good and fresh! Can't wait to go back again!

I don't make it up to Ogden often, but I was lucky enough to get a table here this time. The sushi was great with plenty of flavor. I was most impressed with the Grinch roll, that definitely caught me off guard in the best way. I can definitely see how this restaurant has won so many awards. The restaurant itself is pretty small, and I wish we could have made a reservation or joined a virtual waitlist, but otherwise the decor was nice, our meal came out quickly and the flavors were fresh.

Can't recommend this place enough. Only complaint is they close at 230. I am off at 3. I'd love to come after work everyday and they're closed.

Love this place! Very chill vibes up front, but in the back they have a really cute traditional set up where the tables are on the ground and you have cushions to sit on. The service was really great. Very attentive and nice! Now the food was really good! I loved all the different rolls they offered and the appetizers were fantastic! I will warn you though, it's definitely on the pricier side. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Watch for the specials written on the white board behind the sushi bar. You'll find fresh, meticulously made masterpieces. I recommend the 4- piece nigiri because it's usually the best cuts of fish with creative sauces, unique garnishes and flavors. The other hot item is the Langostino (lobster-like) roll. There's only 4 pieces but they're filling. It's very complex, creamy spicy roll with tomatoes, cucumbers, roe... so many ingredients. I watched it being made. Lots of details. Elegant but hearty. Awesome! This is the reason this is one of the best Japanese restaurants on the Wasatch. Exceptional service. Busy place and just comfortable enough to hold you there so you want to try more items. Be careful!

Excellent sushi, ingredients taste so fresh and they have so many fun rolls! Attention to service certainly depends on who you get but everyone is very nice. Super cool sitting area.

Good friends suggested we meet at Tona for dinner and it was fantastic. I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried a few different rolls which were all excellent. I choose the salmon teriyaki roll and avocado roll and was really happy with them both. The rolls were beautifully made and the ingredients had amazing flavor. I tried a few of my companions rolls as well - which had actual raw fish as opposed to mine - and they were all great. We got the Purple Haze sake and it was lovely. We split the cheesecake for dessert and it did not disappoint. It was light, creamy and full of flavor.

Holy cow. If you've got more money than you know what to do with, this place is where you need to go. I've been to Tona other times and could only afford to split an appetizer and get one roll. Went away feeling like it was just so-so. Then my friend got a $200 gift card and we went with the plan to order everything we wanted. And boy did it make the experience SO much better! These chefs are awesome. The flavors and the textures are everything. We sat out back on the patio and it was a whole vibe. We enjoyed it so much and went away happy and satisfied. 4 stars because I wish it was more affordable for the average person.
